About Mount Faber

Standing at a mere 105m (344 ft.), Mount Faber is Singapore’s second highest hill. Originally named Telok Blangah Hill, it was renamed Mount Faber in July 1845, in honour of Captain Charles Edward Faber of the Madras Engineers, who built a narrow winding road to the summit for the installation of a signal station.

A popular tourist destination, Mount Faber is also home to one of the oldest parks in Singapore and offers a stunning panoramic view of the southern part of Singapore and its southern islands.
