Supercomputing Frontiers Europe 2019

Warsaw, the capital of Poland for more than 4 centuries, is its largest city and the centre of economic, political and cultural events. Warsaw is a metropolis full of life and, at the same time, a city with a unique history. A quarter of its surface is occupied by green spaces, it is also the centre of culture for every taste and every budget.

Visit the Royal Castle, the Gothic cobbled alleys and baroque palaces of the Old Town, destroyed during the Second World War and perfectly rebuilt. Don’t miss the main sites of the old town, including the Uprising Monument and the beautiful Krasinski Park. Walk the Royal Route to discover other treasures of Warsaw.

With the public transport network (bus, metro, tramway and railway) facilitating travel, you might consider visiting Łazienki Królewskie Park, Wilanów Palace or even Żelazowa Wola — a birthplace of Fryderyk Chopin.
