A*STAR Computational Resource Centre (A*CRC) is part of A*STAR (Agency for Science, Technology & Research) which is the main government-funded research agency in Singapore.
ABOUT A*CRC
The A*STAR Computational Resource Centre (A*CRC) is one of the largest high performance computing facilities in the region, with an aggregate computational power equivalent to that of tens of thousand servers. It manages the high-performance computational resources for A*STAR and is also responsible for data storage of about 5 PetaBytes scientific data. A*CRC supports the specialized high computing performance needs of more than 800 users from 14 A*STAR research institutes and several research consortia.
The Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) is the lead agency for fostering world-class scientific research and talent for a vibrant knowledge-based and innovation-driven Singapore. A*STAR employs close to 3,000 researchers and oversees 14 biomedical sciences and physical sciences and engineering research institutes, and six consortia and centers. A*STAR supports Singapore’s key economic clusters by providing intellectual, human, and industrial capital to its partners in industry. It also supports extramural research in the universities, hospitals, research centers, and with other local and international partners.
